# Privacy

## Customizing Privacy Options

While Gate of Abyss offers an immersive social experience, we understand that some players may prefer to play solo. For this, players can hide their online status while playing, which also means that other players in the vicinity will not be able to locate or interact with them.

Also, while constructing buildings is a unique gameplay mechanic, players can toggle a button so that their buildings become invisible to other players.

In any case, we strongly recommend that players do not use their real identities as part of their game username. Landowners will still receive an income from all transactions that take place in their land plots, regardless of whether the building status is set to public (default) or set to private (if the building-owner wishes to).
